Similar to the Risk Category function, the Control Category screen allows you to define control categories (Financial Reporting controls or IT controls) and Subcategories. If you wish to add a new control category, click on 
and then type in the details of the control category in the right-hand pane of the screen and click on the “Save” icon. To add a control subcategory relating to a control category, select the main control category and then click on 
, define the control subcategory details in the right-hand pane of the screen then click on the save icon.
To save, click 
. This will create a Control Category field in the control screen with a corresponding drop-down list in which the user can select from.
