Whilst the CAREweb™ system is very flexible, it does need some parameters set up at the outset to determine what Risk Management regime the organization is using. The two elements that need to be specified, and cannot later be changed, are:
▪Impact and Probability configuration;
▪Whether or not the Basel II module (specific to banks) is to be used.
The data relating to these elements is inputted at the system installation stage via the following screen:
Evidently, if you do not wish to use the Basel Risk module, click “No” and if you are structuring your Risk Management activity around a 3*3 or 5*5-matrix click the relevant radio button. If your structure is different to this, 5*3 perhaps, or you wish to change any of the standard Impact or Probability headings, then click “Custom”. This produces the following additional data grid:
