This is the field where you attach one or more of the KRIs set up earlier to specific risks; Click on and the screen changes to:
Use the drop-down list under the “KRI” tab to pick the KRI you wish to link to this risk; the list here is populated from the KRIs set up under Reference (see earlier), so if the KRI you want isn’t here go back to the Reference screen and add it. The Threshold, Range Minimum and Range Maximum are populated from the KRI previously set-up. In the “Weight” box use the drop-down arrow to select, on a rising scale of 1 – 5, how critical you think this KRI is to this risk; for example, 5 means if the KRI is above the threshold then this risk has a very significant chance of occurring – in fact it is probably occurring now. Save the record in the usual way.
The following screenshot shows two KRI’s; the first one “Number of transactions executed by the teller” has minimum and maximum range of 95 and 105 respectively while the threshold is 100. When data was last supplied, it exceeded the acceptable range therefore the KRI status is appearing in “Red”. The second one “Maximum No. of trans verified by the supervisor in 1 hour” has minimum and maximum range of 45 and 65 respectively while the threshold is 55. When data was last supplied, it exceeded the threshold but it was below the acceptable maximum range therefore the KRI status is appearing in “Yellow”
Needs update
However, the screen also tells us that the data for this KRI is not up to date – see the red comments in the "Comments" column.
If you wish to make changes to an existing KRI in a Risk Screen, click on the “pencil” in the penultimate column; the red cross in the final column will delete the KRI.
