Mandated controls related to articles are added by selecting the relevant article then clicking on “Add New” button:

The components of the mandated control screen are as follows:
Control Subject – This field is used to record a brief description of the control mandated by the regulator. It will appear in all of the CAREweb™ printed output and therefore the description needs to be meaningful in its own right.
Description – This is used to enter a complete description of the control set out in the short description.
Control Type – A drop-down list and is used to select whether the control is:
•Preventative
•Corrective
•Detective
•Deterrent
Link to Regulation Hierarchy- You can link the control to multiple regulations (to save the user from entering the same control every time). By clicking on the button, the following screen is visible:
Select the boxes of the articles you want to link the control to then click on “Save”. This will automatically update the related regulation section and add the article to the Control Store (more on that later).
Different Language- To add the subject and description of the control in a corresponding language (Arabic, English or another language predefined in the system), click on “edit” and then button will appear in the toolbar. Click on it and the following screen will appear:

Once a Control has been created, you will notice that the Control Screen has three tabs:
Related Risks
This tab shows the list of compliance risks the mandated control helps in mitigating.
SA Compliance Test
In the first instance, the boxes will be blank and the user needs to type in the Compliance Test(s) to be conducted Position the cursor in the box and treat it exactly the same way as a word processing screen.
Related Regulations
This tab shows the list of regulatory articles which are linked with the mandated control.
The view button will allow you to access the pages of the regulation that are uploaded on the system and linked to the article.
Related Activity
In here you can document the monitoring activities conducted by the Compliance department to check whether the controls mitigating compliance risks are working as intended. As with the Self-Assessment Compliance test position the cursor in the box and treat it exactly the same way as a word processing screen. Compliance Monitoring activities are described in further details in the below sections of the manual.
